She was predeceased by: her parents, Elma Louise Davis Denton and Ralph Cook Denton; and her siblings, Ralph Thomas Denton, Mary Elizabeth Denton Thompson and Sandra Diane Denton.
She is survived by: her former husband Clyde Vernon Johns; her daughter Amy; her husband Eugene Creech; her aunt Bee; her daughter Amelia Johns Tallon Grace of Greenville; her grandsons, Thomas Ayers Tallon, Andrew Davis Tallon and Charles "Merritt" Grace; her sisters, Patricia Denton LeGrand and Jeanne Denton Varn; and her sister-in-law Janice Johns Childers. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
