He was predeceased by: his parent William Hardy; and his brother Eugene Barnes. He is survived by: his parent Mattie Joyner Barnes; his wife Grace H. Barnes; his daughter Dina G. Boorda (Bob); his siblings, Roger Barnes (Cindy) and Brenda B. Thorpe (Sandy); and his grandson Harrison Boorda.
