It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Gwen Harden of Winnsboro, South Carolina, born in Lindale, Georgia, who passed away on October 27, 2024, at the age of 72, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
Though her name may fade from the lips of time, the imprint Gwen leaves upon the hearts of her loved ones remains eternally vivid — a testament to the depth of her spirit and the richness of her legacy.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Johnson Thomas and Betty Sue Smith Black; her husband Heyward Hood Harden; and her sister Ruthanne Black Anderson. She is survived by: her sons, Hydrick Harden (Troy McIntyre) and Smith Harden (Meredyth); her sister Candi Black Mitchell; and her grandchildren, Emerson and Walker. She is also survived by aunt and uncle, cousins, and nieces.
A memorial service was held on Friday, November 1st 2024 at 2:00 PM at the First United Methodist Church (109 W College St, Winnsboro, SC 29180).
