She was predeceased by: her parents, Anne Marie Kotyrba and Herbart Knopf; her sister Jutta Remert; and her stepfather Albert Kotyrba. She is survived by: her husband Jimmie Milton Douglas, Sr.; and her son Jimmie Milton Douglas, Jr. (Johnsie). She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
