He was predeceased by: his parents, Christopher Bivens and Virginia Dean Newton Smith. He is survived by: his wife Kathy W. Bivens; his stepchildren, Shannon Smith-Thompson (Greg) of Goosecreek, Sean Smith of Windsor, Brent Smith of Windsor and Chad Smith of Windsor; his brothers, Eugene Bivens (Betty) of Windsor, Wheeler Bivens of Charleston, Herbert Smith (Jenny Mae) of Windsor, Donald Smith (Lora) of Windsor and Ronald Smith (Eileen) of Windsor; and his stepgrandchildren, Jesse, Emma, Blaze, Phoenix, Raya, Desiree, Cody, Dylan and April. He is also survived by four step-great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
