He was predeceased by: his parents, Lewis Cushman and Dessie Inez Beck Cushman; his wife Lois Cushman of Virginia; his children, Becky Ann Cushman Raborn and Terry O'Neal Cushman; his siblings, Judy Norris, Margaret Holley and Leon Hampton "Bubba" Cushman; and his siblings-in-law, Alton Norris, Joe Taylor, Bill Crout, Joan, Linda, Betty and PeeWee.
He is survived by: his children, Debra Annette Cushman of Windsor, Marie Cushman Stevens of Aiken and Lewis Franklin "Frankie" Cushman of Windsor; and his siblings, Ann Crout of Wagener, Charles Cushman (Dixie) of Aiken, Tommy Cushman (Ginger) of Columbia, SC and Billy Cushman of Eden, NC. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
