He is survived by: his children, Gina Stoehr (Richard) of Orlando, FL, Gale Taber of Orlando, FL, Bruce Erwin Halstead (Julie) of Liberty, TX and Jeffrey Wayne Halstead (Kim) of Las Vegas, NV; and his brother Amon Samples of Charleston, WV.. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren.
