He is survived by: his wife Sally Johansson Kardes; his children, Ingrid Vanteese (Gerri) of Almond, NY and Erick Vanderhoef (Carrie) of Apopka, FL; his grandchildren, Kaila Young (Cameron), Amanda Scavone (Chris) and Rachel Meador; his great grandchildren, Beckett, Beau, Harper, Zayden and Sutton; and his siblings, Nancy Kardes of Johnstown, PA, Louis Kardos of Camphill, PA and John Kardes (Sally) of Murrysville, PA..
