It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Frances Rainbolt Ward in Williston, South Carolina, who passed away on December 4, 2024, at the age of 99, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband L. B. Ward; her parents, Dave Rainbolt and Ethel Rainbolt; and her grandson Beau Owens. She is survived by: her children, Sharon Moody (Sam), Jo Owens, Edie Wilson (Kevin), Elaine Boyleston (Tommy), Jann Ward and Lloyd Ward (Patty); her grandchildren, Jason Ward (Christina), Arletta Dukes, Eddie Moody (Sharon), Shannon Corder (Greg), Eric Moody (Jennifer), JoAnne Wagnon (Trey), Megan Doiley (Brandon), Clint Boyleston (Tarah), Katy Richardson and Brandon Richardson; her sisters, Nancy Jenkins, Brenda Penix (Tom) of Elizabethton, TN and Jane Miller (Ron) of Upper Sandusky, OH; her brothers-in-law, Bart Smith of Butler, TN and Dick Ward Fish (Betty); her children-in-law, Shirley Ward and Bubba Owens; her siblings, Mary Shaw of Carter County, TN., Lucille White of Carter County, TN., Ruth Williams of Carter County, TN., Sue Smith of Carter County, TN., Bud Rainbolt of Elizabethon, TN and John Rainbolt of Tallmadge, OH.; and also Louise Rainbolt-Miller. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation was held on Friday, December 6th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Folk Funeral Home (170 Elko St, Williston, SC 29853-2612). A funeral service was held on Saturday, December 7th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to Winfield Heights Baptist Church Building Fund, 315 Chester St., Williston, SC 29853.
