He was predeceased by: his parents, Ole Leonard and Mardine Gokey Carlson; and his son Theodore Martin "Ted" Carlson. He is survived by: his wife Kathryn Teuteberg Carlson; his sons, Steven Leonard Carlson of Belton and Thomas Lee Carlson; his brother Clarence Carlson of Richfield, Wisconsin; his granddaughter Courteney Carlson; and his great grandchild Sophia Scyphers.
