It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joe Whitt of Williamston, South Carolina, born in Pelzer, South Carolina, who passed away on June 19, 2020, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, John David Whitt, Sr. and Maude Boren Whitt; and his siblings, Mildred Whitt, Ruth Whitt Eades, Bertha Whitt, J. D. Whitt, Jr., Ned Whitt and Ben Whitt.
He is survived by: his spouse Thula Ann Smith Whitt; his siblings, Nancy Whitt of Williamston and William Whitt of Piedmont; his siblings-in-law, Richard and Kay Smith of Belton; and his nieces, Ginger Smith Carter (Joey) of Williamston and Wendy Smith Nix (Donnie) of Seneca.
