He was predeceased by: his parents, James M. Cartee and Elizabeth Moore Cartee; his wife Lucille Gross Clark Cartee; and his brother Danny Cartee. He is survived by: his stepchildren, Samuel T. Clark, Jr. (Shelley), Lynn Stanifer and Susan Hartis (Steve); and his siblings, David Cartee, Barry Cartee, Gary Cartee (Nikki), Jane Walker (Wendell) and April Gravely (Scottie). He is also survived by seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.
