It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Thomas Worthy of Whitmire, South Carolina, who passed away on August 21, 2021, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Worthy and Carrie Sartor Worthy; his siblings, Tilman, Henry, John, James Eddie, Robert Jr., Dorothy and Louella; and his granddaughter Nastalja.
He is survived by: his wife Sarah; his children, Marshall R. Worthy of Whitmire, SC, Ellis L. Worthy (Alma) of Laurens, SC, Hazel D. Worthy of Whitmire, SC, Marvis W. Floyd of Whitmire, SC and Lana W. Wilson of Whitmire, SC; his granddaughters, Tina Syphertt and Tameka Worthy-Chaplin; his brother Herman Worthy (Lucy) of Whitmire, SC; and his niece Ronesha Fitzgerald. He is also survived by grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren; five great-great grandchildren.
