It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Ray Alewine of Whitmire, South Carolina, born in Little Mountain, South Carolina, who passed away on January 4, 2021, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Boyce Stoudemire and Bessie Haltiwanger Alewine; and his siblings, Carroll Alewine, H. B. Alewine, Claude Alewine, Homer Alewine, Cecil Alewine, Frank Alewine, Evelyn Harmon, Martha Ringer and Jessie Roberta Alewine.
He is survived by: his wife Jean Brock Alewine; his daughter Julie Haltiwanger (Hayden); and his grandchildren, Travis Haltiwanger and Emily Haltiwanger.
