She was predeceased by: her husband James Richard Lanier; her parents, James Walter and Hettie Roland Gibson; and her son Donald Richard Lanier. She is survived by: her siblings, Ed Gibson of Whitmire and Mary Alice Nelson of Whitmire. She is also survived by two grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
