We are sad to announce that on February 14, 2024, at the age of 100, Julia Alewine Wessinger (Whitmire, South Carolina), born in Silverstreet, South Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her spouse J. D. Wessinger; her parents, James Marion and Nannie Taylor Blair Alewine; and her siblings, Martha Watts, Nancy Longshore, Louise Goggins, James "Buddy" Alewine and Thomas Alewine.
She is survived by: her son Douglas V. Wessinger (Carolyn) of Prosperity; her granddaughter Tracy Hill; her great grandchildren, Stephanie Pugh (Brandon) and Brittany Reece (Thomas); and her great great grandchildren, Braylee Pugh, Briggston Pugh, Blair Reece and Michael Reece. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Timothy Lutheran Church, 1853 Little Egypt Road, Whitmire, SC 29178.
