It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Sadie Barnette of White Oak, South Carolina, born in York, South Carolina, who passed away on May 5, 2021, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Barnette and Sadie Lowry Barnette; her granddaughter Paula Annette Burris; and her siblings, Elizabeth Lowry, Leitha Sherer, Blanche Gist, Helen Barnette, Roberta Burris, Dorothy Orr, Della Robinson, James Lowry, David Barnette, Phillip Barnette and Robert Barnette, Jr..
She is survived by: her daughter Mamie Barnette Burris (Jacob Burris); her granddaughters, Angela Knighton (Solomon) and Tracy Owen (Lenard); her great grandchildren, Jairus Burris of York, SC, Jeremiah Burris of York, SC and Clenekeous Owens of Rock Hill, SC; her great great grandchild Jayce Burris; and her sister-in-law Sarah Barnette. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In the early 2000's, Sadie was diagnosed with Alzheimer's Disease.
