He was predeceased by: his parents, Ruby Baker Curtis of Virginia and Gustaf Joseph Curtis (Kertesz); his sister Virginia Ruby Lawson; and his wife Joan Gail Ostedt Curtis. He is survived by: his stepfather John Rudolph Curtis (Kertesz); his children, Alton, Sarasota, Westminster, Cynthia Curtis, Susan Curtis and John Curtis (Mary Ann); his granddaughters, Danielle Curtis and Sabrina Williams (Clark); his great grandchildren, Robby, Titus, Bert Lawson and Johnson; his cousin Marie Lovell; and his nephews, Kevin Lawson (Berta) and Donald Lawson.

Amid the COVID 19 pandemic, family and friends expressed their love for Bob through phone calls, cards and window visits.
