With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Richard Rodgers Jr. in White Oak, South Carolina, born in Rock Hill, South Carolina, who passed away on October 29, 2020 at the age of 78. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Manning Rodgers, Sr. and Dorothy Wilson Rodgers; and his daughter Leslie Sweem. He is survived by: his son William "Bill" Rodgers (Donna) of Indian Land; his grandchildren, Shea Rodgers, Susan Brubaker (Josh), Lee Sweem (Amy), Erin Adam (Emmanuel) and Casey Sweem; his great grandchildren, Jayden, Trent, Eli and Caroline; his sisters, Elaine Chapman of Pageland, SC and Karen Mullen of Holly Springs, NC; and his son-in-law Danny Sweem.
Due to circumstances surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic, a celebration of life memorial service for Mr. Rodgers will be held at a later date.
