She was predeceased by: her spouse Charles Swofford; her parents, William "Boney" Scruggs and Maggie Cash; and her son Charles Greggory Swofford. She is survived by: her daughter Theresa Richey Gilreath of Roebuck; her brother Billy Scruggs of Chesnee; and her grandchildren, Danny Swofford, Carmen Blake, Jennifer Cherry and Katie Bigby.
