With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Iretha Anderson Gilbert in White Oak, South Carolina, born in Simpsonville, South Carolina, who passed away on October 28, 2020 at the age of 90. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Jack Monroe Anderson and Willie Mae Dye Anderson; her spouse W. W. "Bill" Gilbert, Sr.; her son-in-law Mike Martinez; her stepchildren, Helen Malone, W. W. Gilbert, Jr. and Lewis Gilbert; and her siblings, Charlotte Leon, Hallie Ledford, Frankie Anderson, Jack Anderson and Lee Anderson.

She is survived by: her children, Cathy Martinez, Kay McClure (Don) and Ken Gilbert (Teresa); her granddaughters, Rachel Ann Williams and Catherine Lee Jenkins (Jared); her great grandchild Catherine Marie Jenkins; and her stepdaughters, Mary Ann Gowan, Carol Moore (James) and Betty Lancaster.
