She was predeceased by: her parents, John Albert Hinnant and Catherine Theresa Harris Hinnant; her brothers, John Albert Hinnant, Jr. (Mattie) and Watt Kennedy "W. K."; and also Edward Lee Starnes.
She is survived by: her husband Cecil Odell Dixon; her children, Mark Edward Starnes (Vicki) of Jefferson, GA and Sandra Starnes Cauthen (Al) of Lancaster; her grandchildren, Lindsay Victoria Starnes, Eden Nicole Starnes, Kelly Cauthen Marshall (Chris) and Trey Alan Cauthen; her great grandchild Logan Kennedy Marshall; and her sisters, Theresa Hinnant Rowen (Chuck) and Inez Hinnant Duren (Jim). She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
