He was predeceased by: his parents, Coley Blease Gibson, Sr. and Roseolean Simpson Gibson; his wife Sue Plyler Gibson; his sister Joann Haire; his brother-in-law John Haire; and his half-brother Tally Wells.
He is survived by: his children, William Coley Gibson of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, David Mark Gibson (Bessie) of Tallahassee, FL and Linda Gibson Jenkins (Gene) of McConnells, SC; his grandsons, Richard, Will, Collin Jenkins, David Gibson and Hunter Ramsey-Gibson; and his great grandchildren, Carson, Charlie Ann and Cooper Jenkins.
