She was predeceased by: her parents, John M. Tallent and Maude G. Tallent; her siblings, Francis Ferrell, Gertrude Cooke, Mattie Hooks, Ida Hudgens and John Tallent, Jr.; her son-in-law Leroy Baker; and her grandson Stephen Byars.
She is survived by: her children, Charles "Tony" Byars (Evelyn) and Frances Baker; her grandsons, Charles Walter Byars (Melissa) and Michael Travis Byars; her great grandchildren, Kaylee Byars, Cassidy Byars, Kasen Byars, Tie, Lauren Oliver (Kevin), Greg Smith (Emma), RJ Smith (Brandy), Denisha Holloway (Tyler) and Angelin Smith; her great great grandchildren, Murphy Oliver, Kadin Smith, Kingston Smith, Ethan Holloway, Naomi Holloway, Slite Holloway and Granger Smith; and her sister-in-law Dolly Ray VanWinkle (Tallent). She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and her lifelong friends.
