Ada Hicks Obituary
We are sad to announce that on December 15, 2022, at the age of 95, Ada Hicks in White Oak, South Carolina passed away. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Ada Hicks to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, James Albert Purcell and Mary Wilson Purcell; and her husband Joseph Samuel Hicks. She is survived by: her brother James Albert Purcell Jr.; and her sons, Joseph Samuel Hicks Jr. (Trula) of Graniteville, Robert James "Bobby" Hicks (Connie) of Rock Hill, John Purcell Hicks of Clemson, Charles David Hicks (Karen) of Greenwood and Timothy Kendrick Hicks of Rock Hill. She is also survived by six grandchildren and one great-grandson.
Even during the pandemic and as her health declined, Mrs. Hicks faithfully attended worship services online and tithed regularly as a dedicated Christian.
Memorials may be made in Ada Hicks's name to the Missionary Fund or HOPE Project at Neely's Creek ARP Church, 974 Neely's Creek Road, Rock Hill, S.C. 29730.
