He was predeceased by: his parents, Wade Benson Smith and Maude Hopkins Smith; his brother Wade B. Smith, Jr.; and his granddaughter Elisabeth Victoria Knight. He is survived by: his spouse Milda Miller Smith; his children, Thomas Hunter of Eastanollee, GA, Semeca Smith Knight (John) of Westminster, Julie Addis Scarafile (Michael) of Mt. Pleasant, SC, Tasha D. Hunter-Blackwell (Benny) of Seneca and Sherry Cobb Bramlett of James Island, SC; his siblings, William B. Smith (Paris) of Walhalla, Jimmy Ray Smith of Seneca and Bobbie Ann Smith Barnes of Seneca; his grandchildren, Alejandria Rebekah Knight, Blake Blackwell, Nikki Blackwell, Landon Blackwell, Tyra Hunter (Blayze), Aiden Hunter, Vito Scarafile, Leo Scarafile, Austin Bramlett, Abbey Bramlett and Nick Bramlett; his great grandchild Eliza Grace Knight; and his pet Baby Girl Abby. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
