He was predeceased by: his parents, Leroy Shirkey and Neely Keeter Shirkey; his brother James Shirkey; and his stepson Eric Lockman. He is survived by: his wife Linda Moore Shirkey of Westminster, SC; his stepson Paul Lockman; and his children, Luke Shirkey of Westminster, SC, Andrew Shirkey of Westminster, SC, Jeena Shirkey of Westminster, SC, Teresa Childers (Tony) of Kings Mountain, NC and Emily Wilson of Seneca. He is also survived by ten grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
