It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Jewel Smith Swaney (Westminster, South Carolina), who passed away on December 19, 2024, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, John Will and Bessie Tomberlin Smith; her siblings, Ralph Cotton Smith, William Rothell Smith, Ivana Smith Stowe and Virginia Smith Vickery; and her son-in-law Chevis W. Durham.
She is survived by: her husband Dewey H. Swaney Jr.; her daughters, Judy S. Durham of Irmo, Cecelia S. Hamby (Mike) of Seneca and Lisa R. Moore (Kevin) of Stanfield; her grandchildren, John Durham (Jade), Keri Reeves (Thomas), Brooke King (Roy), Ben King (Kayla), Frank Moore (Pamela) and Nicole Lee (Brandon); and her friend Annette Rochester of Seneca. She is also survived by twenty-three great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 22nd 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Sandifer Funeral Home (512 E Main St, Westminster, SC 29693). A funeral service will be held on Monday, December 23rd 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Monday, December 23rd 2024 at the Heritage Memorial Gardens (4500 SC-11, Westminster, SC 29693).
