She was predeceased by: her parents, Xavier Crooks and Floy Barker Crooks; and her son Michael Ray Fowler. She is survived by: her daughters, Cathy Allen (Earnest) and Debbie Alter (Ben); her grandchildren, Jason Canady, Kelli Blair, Ernesta Leroy and Felicia Burton; and her niece Brenda Rogers. She is also survived by 15 great-grandchildren.
