He was predeceased by: his spouse Willie Mae Johnson Campbell; his parents, William Russell and Annie Mae Campbell; his stepson Robert Lee Watkins; and his siblings, Winfred Campbell, William Campbell, Clarence Campbell and Stella Brake.
He is survived by: his children, Gary Campbell (Beckey), Ann Bryant (James) and Tammy Campbell; his stepchildren, Junior Johnson (Doris), Roger Watkins (Pam), Linda Henderson (Scott) and Stevie Watkins (Diane); and his sisters, Hazel Evans and Betty Brown. He is also survived by 20 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.
