She was predeceased by: her husband Rodney Steven Pelfrey of West Union; her parent Rosco; her son Gregory C Smith; her stepson Josh Pelfrey; her siblings, Robbie Hudson, Christine Bradley and Louise Palmer; and her great grandchild Weston Morgan.

She is survived by: her children, Tony Smith (Lynn), Joey Sanford (Amy) of Seneca, SC, Angie Meredith of West Union and Missy Holbrooks (Morris) of Westminster, SC; her daughter-in-law Reba Lynn Smith; her stepdaughters, Nicole Weaver (Randall) of Westminster and Brooke Pelfrey of Dyersburg, TN.; her siblings, Pat Tippitt (Luke), Danny Hudson (Donna), Carl Hudson (Tina), Jimmy Hudson and Mike Hudson; her boyfriend Alton Meeler of Sumter, SC; and her grandchildren, Eric Smith, Melanie Garza, Deanne Gibson, Travis Meredith, Natasha Rollings, Mickey Goodine, Shane Meredith, Justin Smith, Kayla Shead, Linda Morgan, Samantha Grogan, Joseph Sanford, Hunter Sanford, Dylan Barnes, Ava Weaver and Camden Davis. She is also survived by thirty-three great grandchildren, and six great-great grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Monday, March 31st 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Davenport Funeral Home (311 SC-11, West Union, SC 29696). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, April 1st 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Tuesday, April 1st 2025 at the Oconee Memorial Park (1923 Blue Ridge Blvd, Seneca, SC 29672).
