He was predeceased by: his parents, Lee Roy and Alice Wooten Norris; his wife Wanda Irene Greene; his son Robert Merrill Norris; and his brothers, George and Averill Norris.
He is survived by: his daughters, Yolanda Yvette Norris and Kathy Norris Cochran; his sister Alma Faye Moreland; and his nieces and nephews, Alice Faye, Christi, Eddie, Esther, Jeremiah and Randy.
