She was predeceased by: her parents, Vaughn Shook and Faye Holden Shook; and her siblings, Dee Shook, Kenneth Shook and Jodi Shook.

She is survived by: her spouse Winfred Lamar Barnes of West Union; her son Richard Swafford of Walhalla; her stepchildren, Quincey Barnes of Walhalla and Lindy Davis of West Union; her siblings, Charles Shook of Anderson, Diane Shook of West Union and Sharon Hernandez of Anderson; and her grandchildren, Daniel, Benjamin, Hailey, Heather Davis and Cody Swafford.
