It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Marcia Whipple of West Union, South Carolina, born in Sylva, North Carolina, who passed away on June 19, 2024, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Douglas Whipple of West Union, SC; her parents, Ernest Moore and Pauline Moore; and her siblings, Dillard Moore, Phillip Moore, James "Knob" Moore, Etta Lou Bradley and Britta Mae Troutman.

She is survived by: her son Jeff Bumgarner (Mary) of Whittier, NC; her grandchildren, McKae, Mabry and Emelyn; her daughter Paula Jarvenpaa (Steven) of Westminster, MA; her grandchildren, Alexander Waugh and Hollie Waugh; and her siblings, Doris "Sue" Wiggins of Whittier, NC and Tom Moore of Asheville, NC..
