He is survived by: his wife Kathy Duncan; his sons, James Robert McAlister, Jr., Timothy McAlister (Pam), Tony McAlister and Bobby Joe McAlister; his siblings, John William McAlister (Emma), Frank Edward McAlister (Nona), Freddy Joseph McAlister, Herbert Rudolph McAlister, Betty Ruth Walker, Afia Carolyn Neal and Margie Lucille Burrell; and his niece Sue Black.
