He was predeceased by: his parents, James C. Howard, Sr. and Pauline Turner Howard; and his brother Robert Kirby Howard. He is survived by: his son Marc W. Howard (Michelle Howard) of West Union, SC; his wife Josephine Mickiewicz; his grandsons, Leo Harrison Howard of West Union, SC and Curtiss James Howard (Jennifer Howard); his great grandchildren, Jacob and Cassidy Howard of Pittsboro, NC.; his siblings, Ronald E. Howard (Judy), Rev. Tommy Howard (Ann), Judy Byers of Pickens, SC and Jackie Hughes of Simpsonville, SC; and his sister-in-law Martha Howard of Pickens, SC. He is also survived by numerous nephews, nieces and their spouses.
