He was predeceased by: his wife Gwendolyn McCurry Duncan; his parents, Olin Van and Coree E. Cox Duncan; and his siblings, Roger Duncan, Evelyn Turner, Annie Mae O and Kelley.

He is survived by: his sons, Greg S. Duncan (Kathy) of Westminster and Michael L. Duncan (Lynn) of Pelzer; and his brothers, George "Bud" Duncan of Walhalla and Jimmy Duncan (Billy Ann) of West Union. He is also survived by five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren.
