He was predeceased by: his parents, Grover Fretwell and Betty Jo Elliott Nix; his sister Carmen "Lynn" Hamm; his granddaughter Rachel Abell; and his son Heath "Hocake" Elliott.
He is survived by: his wife Debra Rogers Fretwell of Walhalla; his daughters, Macy Abell (Aaron) and Jessica Jenkins (Jimmy); his siblings, Freddie Crummie (Denease) and Elizabeth "Liz" Marrow (Billy); his grandchildren, Briana Gerber (Brannon), Madelyn Abell, Karmen Jenkins (CJ) and Hudson Abell; and his aunt Ann McCall. He is also survived by uncles, nieces and nephews.
