He was predeceased by: his father Robert Lee Hughes, Jr.; and his brother Ronald Allen Hughes. He is survived by: his wife Evalyn Griffith Hughes of West Union; his stepchildren, Andrew Capers Thompson (Susan), John Wilson Pickett Thompson, Amy Thompson Glass (David) and Anna Thompson Glenn (Brad); his brother Jerald Gregg Hughes; and his grandchildren, Zoey Glenn, Landry Glenn, Lily Glass, Hank Glenn, Elias Glass and Ellie Thompson.
Visitation was held on Saturday, February 22nd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Davenport Funeral Home (311 SC-11, West Union, SC 29696).
