We are sad to announce that on November 18, 2022 we had to say goodbye to Carrie Mae Wimberley Meares (West Union, South Carolina), born in Franklin, Alabama. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

She was predeceased by: her husband Virgil Wright Meares; her parents, George Russell Wimberley and Lona Edith Hyde Wimberley; her children, Sharon Meares Miller and Kenneth Charles Meares (KC); and her siblings, Elizabeth Jones, Hazel Webb, Berneice Wimberley, Virgil Wimberley, John Wimberley (JP), Melvin Wimberley and Russell Wimberley.

She is survived by: her sons, Steve Clark of Alabama and Greg Meares of Seneca; her sister Mary Eloise Helms of Alabama; and her grandchildren, Carrington, Graham, Joseph, Haley of Andy, E. J., Meredith, Sarah and Trey. She is also survived by five great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and extended family.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to: St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 42040, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma 73123.
