He was predeceased by: his parents, Berline Hood and John Henry Busch of Walhalla, SC; his son Bobby Eugene Busch (U. S. Navy); his grandson Kevin Trostel; and his brothers, John Edward Busch (Barbara) and Charles Frederick Busch (Annette).

He is survived by: his wife Joann Lee Busch; his daughter Debra Busch Redford of Franklin, TN; his grandson Joseph Franklin Redford (Jessica) of Asheville, NC; his great grandchildren, Storm and Harmony Redford of Asheville, NC; his sister Carolyn Busch Gravely (John) of Creedmor, NC; and also, John and Ginny Eck of West Union, SC. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
