It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Betty Burrell Nichols (West Union, South Carolina), who passed away on August 17, 2023, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her spouse Verner Earl Nichols; her parents, Charles Jess and Myrtle Lusk Burrell; her siblings, Charles Burrell, Kermit Burrell, Ray Burrell, Morgan Burrell, David Burrell, Dorothy Rogers and Shirley Jean Burrell; her great grandchild Wyatt Roper; her great great grandchild Braxley Nichols; and her daughter-in-law Susan Nichols.

She is survived by: her children, Edward Nichols, Wayne Nichols (Lynn), Joey Nichols (Glenda), Steve Nichols and Sue Nichols Blackwell (Gary); and her siblings, Roy Burrell, Ralph Burrell, John Burrell and Bonnie Alexander. She is also survived by ten grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren.

Flowers are accepted, or memorials may be made to Collins Children's Home, 110 Collins Home Dr., Seneca, SC 29672.

“She and my mama were sisters. So i was lucky enough to be able to have her as my favorite Aunt!! My Aunt Betty was always so sweet and good to me and I loved her so very much!!!
