With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Thomas Nathaniel Gainey of West Columbia, South Carolina, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on September 22, 2024 at the age of 95. He was predeceased by: his parents, Archie Richard Gainey and Ethel Verner Miller Gainey; his daughter Pamela Dinkins; his brothers, William Talmadge Gainey, Johnnie D. Gainey and Henry "Cotton" Rudolph Gainey (Margot); his stepfather Jesse Crawford Dees; and his daughter-in-law Judy Taylor.
He is survived by: his wife Patsy Diane Gainey; his children, Paula Gainey, Sheila Reppenhagen (Lewis), Thomas Taylor (Rose) and Lawrence "Larry" Taylor; and his son-in-law Floyd. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, September 25th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Caughman-Harman Funeral Home – West Columbia Chapel (820 W Dunbar Rd, West Columbia, SC 29170). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, September 25th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
