He was predeceased by: his parents, Eunice Hutchinson Foster and Henry Grady Foster; his wife Claire Dominy Foster; and his siblings, Gloria Muncey, Sylvia Lotterhos, Dan Foster and Henry Grady Foster, Jr..
He is survived by: his daughters, Mandy Snipes (Don) of Lexington and Laurie Brown (Mitch) of Bluffton; his sister Sharon Marchant Crump (John) of Winston Salem; and his grandchildren, Foster, Taylor Snipes, Arden and Ella Mae Brown. He is also survived by many cousins, nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to St. David Lutheran Church; 132 St. Davids Church Road, West Columbia, SC 29170.
