He was predeceased by: his parents, Bessie Lorraine Hawkins and James Cuppford Belk; and his brother Mark Belk. He is survived by: his wife Starr M. Belk; his children, Karen Monts (Clint), Bridgette Thayer (Charlie) and Joseph G. Belk; his grandson Colton Walker; and his sister Meleda Belk Stephens. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
