It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Shirley Ellingsen (West Columbia, South Carolina), born in Chicago, Illinois, who passed away on November 3, 2024, leaving to mourn family and friends. In the vast expanse of eternity, Shirley shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Shirley farewell, her loved ones carry with them the precious gift of her memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Ivan Carlson and Ruth Carlson; her husband Ralph Ellingsen Sr.; and her daughter Ruth Reiber. She is survived by: her sister Cynthia Carlson (Robert Bertoletti); her children, Ralph Ellingsen Jr. (Sherry) and Lori Pinner (Rick); and her son-in-law Donny Reiber. She is also survived by six grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren and five great-great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, November 8th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the Mosely Funeral & Cremation Service (914 Meeting St, West Columbia, SC 29169). A celebration of life was held on Friday, November 8th 2024 at 12:30 PM at the Greenhaven Memorial Park (11020 Two Notch Rd, Elgin, SC 29045).
