He was predeceased by: his parents, Lucille C. Cromer and Robert Y. Cromer; and his siblings, Earl Cromer, Delayne McDonald, Wilma Snider and Evelyn Bowden.
He is survived by: his brother Larry T. Cromer of San Antonio, Texas; his children, Robert Gene Cromer, Jr. of West Columbia and Bonnie Kay Cromer McBride (Donald) of Gaston; his grandchildren, Ashley M. Cromer Studebaker, Charity N. Lee and Philip H. McBride; his great grandchildren, Brayden C. Studebaker, Kari E. McBride and Madison T. Brown; and his wife Lois Shipes Cromer.
