She was predeceased by: her aunt Miss Marguerite Burnham Jenkins; and her parents, Ralph P. Steele and Mildred J. Steele. She is survived by: her husband David E. Frye, Jr.; her children, Amy Elizabeth Redd (Robin), Nancy Marlowe (Robbie) and David E. Frye III; and her sister-in-law Pam Steele.

Visitation was held on Thursday, January 9th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the St. David Lutheran Church (132 St Davids Church Rd, West Columbia, SC 29170). A funeral service was held on Thursday, January 9th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Thursday, January 9th 2025 at the St. David Lutheran Church Cemetery (132 St Davids Church Rd, West Columbia, SC 29170).

Pope requests that memorials be made in her name to ACHA (Adult Congenital Heart Association) 3300 Henry Avenue, Ste. 112, Philadelphia, PA 19129 or to St. David Lutheran Church.
