She was predeceased by: her parents, Ernest Webb Howard and Myrtle Ervin Howard; her husband Leonard Schenck; and her siblings, Merle, Robert W. "Bob" Howard, Lois Rettew, Elsie Fortner, Corinne Majors and Anne Earnhardt.

She is survived by: her children, Stephen Michael Rogers (Marion Rogers) of Charlotte, NC, Charles Howard Rogers (Virginia Rogers) and Susan Cooper (Richard Cooper) of Penrose, NC.; her grandchildren, David Rogers of Charlotte, Michelle Kuhn (Jeremy Kuhn) of Charlotte, NC., Austin Rogers (Kimberly Rogers) of Goose Creek and Lauren Rogers McCabe (Shawn McCabe) of Charlotte, NC.; and her great grandchildren, Maggie, Lillian, Emma and Andrew Kuhn of Charlotte, NC..

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Center Grove Lutheran Church in Kannapolis, NC in honor of Leonard and Lynda Schenck.
