He was predeceased by: his wife Marlene Ray; his siblings, Buddy Ray, Charles Ray, Ann Ray, Lila Goodman, Robert Atwell, John Hancock, Gene Ray, Leon Ray, Wilhelmina Penley and Mildred Livesey; and his sons-in-law, William Poole (Billy), Terry Turner and Mark Welcker.
He is survived by: his children, Randy Ray, Melba Poole and Teresa Welcker; his grandchildren, Lisa Boone (Rick), Michelle Jeffcoat (Michael), Billy Joe Poole and Jennifer Turner; and his great grandchildren, Slate, Lili Ray, Anderson and Landon Boone.
